TFT Glass-Based Micro LED Display — Transparent

Transparent Micro LED on a TFT glass backplane is currently the highest-specification see-through display available. It combines the transparency of a glass LED panel with the seam-free flatness, fine pixel pitch and deep black levels of Micro LED. Where conventional transparent LED is a compromise you accept in exchange for daylight, transparent Micro LED is a display you would specify on image quality alone — and it happens to be see-through.

Why Transparent Micro LED Beats Conventional Transparent LED

  • Much finer pitch. Conventional transparent LED starts around P3.91 and gets coarse quickly. Transparent Micro LED reaches P1.5, which means readable text and detailed product imagery at close range — essential inside a store rather than across a street.
  • No visible strip structure. Standard transparent LED is built from vertical light bars, and the bar pattern is obvious when the screen is off. TFT glass construction gives a uniform, near-invisible surface in the off state.
  • True black. The dark surface treatment means content sits on a genuinely black field rather than a grey haze, which dramatically improves perceived contrast in a lit retail space.
  • Thinner and lighter. From 6mm total panel thickness, which allows glazing-style installation into slim framing systems.

Flagship retail interiors, luxury brand window displays viewed from the pavement, museum display cases where the artefact must remain visible, premium automotive showrooms, hotel and airport VIP lounges, high-end exhibition stands, and architectural glass features where the client will not accept a visible LED strip pattern.

Choosing Between Transparent Micro LED and Crystal Film

Crystal film is the right answer when the viewer is far away, the budget is tight, and the primary requirement is bright motion visible from the street. Transparent Micro LED is the right answer when the viewer is within a few metres, the content includes fine detail or small text, and the installation is part of a premium brand environment where the off-state appearance of the glass matters. We will tell you honestly which one fits your project — sending the wrong product is more expensive for us than losing the order.

The current standard models in the transparent Micro LED family are:

  • 9.41 inch (P0.42, 60 PPI) — the most common evaluation unit. 187 × 162 mm panel, 420 × 384 resolution, 1,500 nit typical, ≥60% transparency. 1–2 weeks from stock.
  • 14.5 inch (P0.42, 60 PPI) — 1 × 2 stack, 187 × 332 mm. 4–6 week lead time.
  • 14.5 inch double-sided (P0.42, 60 PPI) — both faces show independently. For hanging signage and product pedestals.
  • 18.8 inch (P0.42, 60 PPI) — 2 × 2 tile, 374 × 332 mm. Quarter-square format for window fronts.
